A summer after leaving the Miami Heat for the Cleveland Cavaliers, NBA superstar LeBron James sold his Coconut Grove, Florida, home for $13.4 million on Tuesday, according to ESPN.com’s Darren Rovell.
James, who paid $9 million in 2010 for the home with six bedrooms and eight and a half bathrooms, sold the home to married Florida real estate investors named Timo and Nathalia Kipp.
The couple sold its former home, which just happened to be previously owned by Heat star Alonzo Mourning, and had been leasing the home since June, a source said.
Located in Miami’s high-end Coconut Grove neighborhood, the 12,178-square-foot property originally was listed at $17 million, but James reportedly reduced the asking price to $15 million in March.
Florida real estate investors Timo and Nathalia Kipp are the new owners of the lavish home, which comes complete with an infinity pool, wine cellar and enough dock space to house two 60-foot yachts.
The 12,000 square foot home was appraised at just under $9.7 million last year, so he’s still making some nice coin off of the sale.
The 35,440-square-foot house has a theater, bowling alley, casino and barber shop and when he bought it cost £1.4m ($2.1m) when he bought it in 2003.
